J.C. Steele offers a wide range of brick extrusion dies for solid, 3-hole and 10-hole bricks. We can also customize brick extrusion dies depending your needs and specifications.
For optimal performance across a wide range of clay compositions and extrusion speeds, we offer both primary-only and primary/secondary clay column lubricating designs. We also have bridge designs that have been developed and refined to provide a wide range of coring options.
The Steele L-Die — The best choice for producing king-size pavers and face brick with shales and other low-plasticity materials
The Steele L-Die offers the operating flexibility, reliability and low maintenance you need, with a front-removal bridge, multiple shaper cap options and rugged internal construction. Positioning bolts offer on–the-fly bridge adjustments and the standard die base front opening size ensures that all L-Die bases and bridges are interchangeable.
We cast the die base shell on-site, using ductile iron for strength and a long service life. The replaceable 28PC liner ensures abrasion resistance and fast changeout. The 28PC rear oiling ring also replaces easily.
The overall length and midbase and shaper cap options make the Steele L-Die particularly well suited for paver production.
The Steel L-Short Die — Ideal for producing face brick and other extruded products using highly plastic clays
The Steele L-Short Die offers the same operational flexibility and design innovations of the Steele L-Die, with a minimum-length die assembly well suited for many extrusion mixes.
The Steele L-Utility Die — designed to produce utility brick and extrusion profiles up to 14 inches (356mm)
The Steele L-Utility Die builds on the design innovations and operating flexibility of our L-Die, with a design that can handle extrusion profiles up to 14 inches (356mm). We offer multiple shaper cap options, including ceramic, tool steel and our 28PC high chrome iron alloy in one- and two-piece designs. The standard midbase liner blanks have a custom front opening size cut to your specifications.
