      A paste backfill operation combines fresh dewatered mine tailings with dried tailings<\/strong><\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n\n\n\n\n\n

      Problem:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

      The customer had reclaimed gold mine tailings with approximately 18% moisture and needed a feeder to handle this difficult material with various particle sizes, metering them at a constant rate into a batch mixer in the plant.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

      Solution:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/td>\n

      		\n

      Steele provided two feeders for the application \u2014 one triple 124E and one double 124E. We outfitted the 124E with a large (120 cu. yd.) hopper filled with a loader. The two feeders work in tandem to deliver tailings to the batch mixer at an even rate, cycling on and off to the fill the mixer.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

      Like our even feeders installed at other mine tailing and paste backfill operations, these machines have proven to be reliable and low-maintenance.
