It delivers direct lubrication to all bearings and gear meshes, and eliminates dry starts for longer gear life. An inline canister filter cleans gearbox oil, eliminating contaminants that degrade oil effectiveness and shorten service life.<\/p>\n

Lubrication problems trigger a PLC signal, disengaging the clutch to prevent gearbox damage and alerting maintenance. An HMI touchscreen pinpoints the fault location, for quick corrective action and minimal downtime. There are various monitoring levels available, for the input and control you want.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]This system is now standard on our 120 and 45 Series extruders and pug sealers. It\u2019s available on new and installed 90 Series machines and as an upgrade on installed 75 machines.<\/p>\n

Steele plans to offer a retrofit kit in mid-2022.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]\n

External thrust bearing filtration<\/b><\/h3>\n

Steele now offers an external positive displacement pump, to circulate and filter oil in the thrust\/radial bearing housing. A replaceable spin-on filter removes oil contaminants, extending the life of your thrust and radial bearings.<\/p>\n

Temperature and pressure sensors monitor the system, to tell you when it\u2019s time to replace the filter.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_single_image image=”8571″ img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_shadow_border”][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_single_image image=”8577″ img_size=”full” style=”vc_box_shadow_border”][vc_column_text]\n
